Welcome to my E-Folio!
Thank you for visiting my electronic portfolio! Here you will find examples of my skills and course projects as they relate to public health research and practice. I encourage you to explore details about my directed study with the Boston University Alcohol & Other Drug Program, my practicum project with the Department of Health Education at Tufts University, and my leadership experience on the BU Alcohol Task Force.
As an undergraduate resident assistant, I witnessed firsthand how substance abuse impacts college students' academic performances, individual health, personal relationships, and university privileges.
My comprehensive training in public health has taught me to think critically and holistically to improve student health. I believe that a theory-based approach which emphasizes innovative education, brief intervention, peer leadership, and community involvement can discourage substance abuse and reduce associated harm among college students.
It is my personal and professional goal, therefore, to use my skills in collaboration with others in the field to build and sustain a campus environment that promotes responsible decisions regarding substance use.
